Alvaro Mena de Cea, MD, PhD, of the Institute of Biomedical Research and La Coruña University Hospital Complex in Spain, and colleagues used a database to identify 2,318 patients: 37% of this population had HIV/HCV coinfection, and lymphoma was identified in 63 cases. Of these, 37 were diagnosed in HIV-mono-infected patients and 27 were diagnosed in HIV/HCV-coinfected patients, with no significant difference in risk between the two patient groups (odds ratio, 1.25; 95% confidence interval, 0.76-2.97).
