Loma Linda to Host Rare Kidney Disease Conference

Faculty physicians and surgeons of the Division of Nephrology at Loma Linda University School of Medicine will host the Rare Kidney Disease Conference December 7-8, 2024. The event will take place at Hotel Zoso in Palm Springs, California. Sayna Norouzi, MD, and Amir Abdipour, MD, are the course directors.

The event’s stated objectives are to:

  • Utilize the most current consensus- and evidence-based guidelines on management of patients with rare kidney disease to improve patient care by updating physicians on recent clinical guidelines.
  • Incorporate diagnostic and therapeutic tools to optimally care for patients with complex glomerular disease to ultimately improve patient care and spark more interest in research amongst physicians.
  • Describe the pathophysiology of glomerular kidney disease and polycystic kidney disease, including disease presentation, prognosis, and pathological findings, to improve the understanding of these rare diseases.

The conference will feature eight educational sessions, and up to 12.5 CME credits will be available to participants.
