Eurofins Acquires Largest Independent US Lab for Dialysis Testing

Eurofins Scientific completed the acquisition of Ascend Clinical, the largest independent laboratory for kidney dialysis testing in the United States. Ascend’s lab in Sunnyvale, California, provides highly automated chemistry, hematology, microbiology, and virology testing services to dialysis clinics and hospitals across the United States. The lab also offers water and dialysate testing to provide greater safety to the dialysis patient community and facilitate successful regulatory audits and surveys.

Patti Hunsader, current chief operating officer of Ascend, who will assume the role of president, stated, “We are excited to join forces with the Eurofins network.
