Advances in Xenotransplantation: Robert Montgomery

Joel Topf, MD, of Nephrology Times spoke with Robert Montgomery, MD, of NYU Langone at the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) Spring Clinical Meetings. Dr. Montgomery, the recipient of the NKF’s Excellence in Kidney Transplantation Award, discussed advances in xenotransplantation, including the recent pig kidney transplant he performed on Lisa Pisano, who also had a left ventricular assist device, or LVAD, implanted.
