Cytisinicline: Not Exactly New, But Possibly Improved Smoking Cessation Aid

Though cytisinicline has been used by millions of individuals in Eastern Europe for decades as a smoking cessation aid, it has never been available in Western Europe or the US, despite potentially superior tolerability versus other agents. Cytisinicline is currently the first drug to be evaluated for electronic cigarette cessation as part of the ORCA trial series.
