In this first part of a two-part interview, DocWire News Editorial Board member Nishaki Mehta, MD, FACC, FAHA, FHRS, reflects on some of the significant research presented at this year’s Heart Rhythm Society scientific meeting. In this part of the interview, Dr. Mehta talks about what’s new in pulse field ablation as well as ventricular tachycardia ablation. She also touches on an interesting subanalysis of the EAST-AFNET study and how its results could apply to patients with heart failure.
Dr. Mehta is an electrophysiologist and an associate professor of medicine at the William Beaumont Oakland University School of Medicine.
