A petition calling for the end of the American Board of Internal Medicine’s Maintenance of Certification program, launched on July 21, 2023, now has close to 20,000 signatures. Physicians have called on their societies and organizations to offer statements on their behalf, but so far, the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography & Interventions (SCAI) is the only society to do so.
